Scarlet has spent the majority of her life engaged with stories – from avid reading in childhood to work with violent crime victims’ cases, to archaeological investigations into witchcraft, secret burial grounds, and more. 

In her life on the Other Side, she spends her time putting her doctorate to use, teaching how shame, fear, violence, experiential wounds, and emotions shape our reality. 

While her non-fiction international bestseller included a story-based chapter, she considers The House on Priory Lane to be her debut into published fiction.
